Resumo:The modality of remote work is a topic that has been growing in discussions and has been approached with great intensity in studies on the subject. After enactment of Law 13,467/2017 and Law 14,442/2022 that promoted changes in the CLT, remote work is now seen as a strategic factor and organizational competitiveness. The study is centered on the debate about the modality of work carried out remotely, using information and communication technology resources, called telework/home office and aims to analyze how telework affects the quality of life of workers and the economic and financial performance of organizations. It is a descriptive, documental, case study and qualitative research. The instruments used were a questionnaire, documents and interviews. The results found demonstrate that the remote work modality reflects positively both on the quality of life of workers and on the economic and financial performance of organizations, insofar as it has advantages and disadvantages, and that well balanced represent an achievement for both employees and the company. . Advantages: improved quality of life for workers, reduced absenteeism, less stress caused by traffic, increased motivation, reduced time spent commuting, productivity and reduced administrative costs. Disadvantages: increase in household expenses, time spent preparing meals and the possible impact on the worker's psychological health due to the social isolation that telework can provide, if there were no mitigating measures. However, it is important to emphasize that the remote work modality carries some risks, such as the weakening and precariousness of work relationships.
