Sumario:This article aims to discuss the roots of homophobia and its possible relationship with misogyny, therefore, it becomes necessary the resumption of the archaic remnants of the past in search of what possibly pointed to the beginning of phallocentrism . Thus, it is discourse about violence in the ancient period, especially with regard to Rome and ancient Greece. The question that summarizes the research can be formulated as follows: what is the relationship between homophobia and misogyny in the ancient period, with a view phallocentrism? With regard to the research method, the article was elaborated through literature review and literature search, especially in the hist orical and anthropological field.
