Descripción
Sumario:This article discusses how Modal Particles (MP) can be integrated into a didactic context using examples from the Netflix series How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast) (HTSDO)(F). Teaching highly context-sensitive pragmatic elements with no direct equivalents in other languages, such as MPs, poses a significant challenge in various contexts of German as an Additional Language (GAL) (WEYDT, 2010). Furthermore, the presence of specialized teaching materials in the area is still incipient (AQUINO, 2023b). This work aims to provide didactic strategies for the teaching of MPs doch and halt, based on the minimalist approach (DIEWALD; KRESIĆ; BATINIĆ, 2017). This approach focuses on the core function of each MP and its meaning in the series. Finally, we will present a didactic sequence with reception and production activities based on authentic examples and exercises. This article seeks, therefore, to contribute significantly to the teaching of MPs through metalinguistic didactic strategies that can motivate and engage students in their GAL learning process.
