| Sumario: | This systematic review aimed to evidence the national and international literature care provided to elderly carried out by grandchildren. The relationship between grandparents and grandchildren and care given can be understood as a mutually supportive relationship or codependency in different family contexts. Even with frequent and said to the main family support in the elderly care, there are few records about the care provided by their grandchildren; emphasizes the need to promote studies on such aspect. |
