Sumario:This article has as its focus a theme that is hardly analyzed in the academic production on Human Rights: friendship and intergenerational care in popular culture. The article is based on a research that discussed friendship as mutual care and expansion of the practice of citizenship among children, youth and senior citizens. The authors discuss the importance of friendship and intergenerational care, revealing that they strengthen the right the involved actors have to live in family and community contexts.
