| Sumario: | Intellectual property and technology transfer were regulated by the Agreement on Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights Related to Trade (TRIPS) under the World Trade Organization (WTO). The agreement established that the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rules should encourage the transfer and diffusion of technology. This article analyzes some of the most important channels in the international transfer of technology as well as the records of intellectual property rights, in order to verify if there was any change in participation worldwide, especially of developing countries. |
