| Sumario: | The Quota Law (Law No. 12,711 of August 29, 2012) stipulates that Brazilian federal higher education institutions must reserve 50% of vacancies, per course, for students who have attended public high schools. The purpose of this study was to analyze data on students’ entrance examinations and, subsequently, the dropout rates in two higher education courses at the same educational institution using statistical documentary research. The results showed an increase in student admission through social and racial quotas in higher education courses between 2015 and 2018. |
