Sumario:Universities have always played an educational role of extreme social relevance. But new social demands are emerging requiring more inclusive conditions for access to a qualitative higher education. This paper aimed to analyze the academic performance of students from UFU's classroom undergraduate courses after the implementation of the Quota Law. 7548 students and 110 options of undergraduate courses were analyzed. The results showed that non-quota students presented higher performance in the major areas of Agrarian Sciences, Exact and Earth Sciences, Applied Social Sciences, Engineering, Linguistics, Letters and Arts and Multidisciplinary Sciences. Quota holders, on the other hand, had higher performances in the areas of Biological Sciences, Health Sciences and Human Sciences.
