| Sumario: | This study presents a method for identifying the losses in quality in production processes. The companies that were studied for this research were located within the perimeter of the Suape Industrial Port Complex in the state of Pernambuco. The identification method considered two alternatives for analyzing the losses: "no loss in quality" and "loss of quality. We applied a structured questionnaire with answers that directly or indirectly relate to variables involved with quality and were able to obtain data to use the multi-criteria Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The results demonstrated the applicability of the method and answered the question: "How can the AHP methodology contribute to the prioritization of losses in quality?" It was found that according to the criteria used by decision-makers and judged by AHP, the result of the decision vector demonstrated that all criteria - some more than others - are contributing factors to losses in quality. |
