The decision makers of the “Alfa” company are the director and the general manager. As for the research method, qualiquanti was outlined, the qualitative method was carried out through two interviews and the diagnosis with the managers. The quantitative was done through the application of the AHP method - Analytic Hierarchy Process, for decision making. Three purchase alternatives were presented. As a result, it was observed that the study allowed support regarding a more assertive decision and, as it is a small machining company, this work also allowed decision makers to understand how the insertion of operational research tools can make the safer and more professional decision-making process, improving the company's management.
