| Sumario: | The purpose of this article is to reflect on the historical routing of the implementation of “você (you)” in the pronominal system of Brazilian Portuguese and its reflection on the imperative structures of 2SG. It assumes as a starting point the fact that one of the repercussions of the insertion of “você (you)” in the pronominal system of Brazilian Portuguese (RUMEU, 2013; SOUZA, 2012) has been the alternation between the indicative forms of indicative and subjunctive in the imperative constructions of 2SG (“vem tu” (“come you”), “vem você” (“come you”), “venha você” (“come you”)). In the perspective of an analysis methodologically oriented by the principles of historical sociolinguistics (CONDE SILVESTRE, 2007; HERNÁNDEZ-CAMPOY; SCHILLING, 2012) and based on a set of historical missives produced by educated Cariocas between 1860 and 1980, the hypothesis from the 30's of the twentieth century (RUMEU, 2008; SOUZA, 2012) the subject is consolidated as a pronominal form of 2SG pari passu constructions of supplementary imperative also prevail in the Letters Cariocas (DINIZ, 2018). In addition to the context of “você”(“you”)-subject accompanying the constructs of supplementary imperative, it has been proven that mixed letters (alternating letters “tu”/“você” = “you”) also function as a context that tends to moderately influence the abrasive imperative (DINIZ, 2018). It is, therefore, the expression of a change internally embedded in the BP language system, cf. predicted by Lopes (2007) about the repercussions of the insertion of the “você” (“you”) in the pronominal paradigm of the Brazilian portuguese. |
