The work was carried out through bibliographic research in the area of Law, more precisely in the area of Criminal Procedural Law and Criminal Law, to conclude at the end that the new figure of the Judge of Guarantees concretizes the accusatory principle to a greater extent protects the magistrate’s impartiality and guarantees due legal process.O objetivo do artigo é analisar a importância e imprescindibilidade do juiz das garantias para o sistema acusatório brasileiro. Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva, cujo método empregado é o dedutivo. É dedutivo porque é um processo de análise da informação que utiliza livros e artigos científicos para obter uma conclusão a respeito do problema.
