Resumo:This article aims to discuss specifically on the history of Brazil regarding the issues of homosexuality and homophobia. Thus, in relation to specific goals, it highlights two topics, first on account of the history of homosexuality in Brazil and, as a result, the attempt of a criticism of the current social context and consequences of homophobic phenomenon. The question that summarizes the research can be formulated as follows: how to think homophobia and misogyny in relation to the Brazilian historical context? As regards research method, the article will be carried out through literature review and literature search, especially in the historical and anthropological field.
