We distinguish between institutional and public theology, we see its proposal and discuss its role. Teologia é hermenêutica e se constrói a partir do diálogo com a cultura, cristalizada nas artes. O diálogo se dá no contexto em que os elementos religiosos da linguagem do personagem Riobaldo ganham densidade, o empoderam para o cotidiano que afronta certezas, testa limites e aumenta fraquezas. Diálogo catalisa os saberes consolidados em séculos, amalgamados em culturas e expressos nas máscaras do Sagrado deixadas no tempo. E a literatura nos devolve em prosa.
