Descrição
Resumo:This paper approaches the interconnections of Bioethics and Theology with social issues. It presupposes that Theology is a science and uses scientific mediations for a contextualized reading of the historical, anthropological and cosmologicalrealities. The interconnection from Theology with Bioethics is shown in the discussion about Bioethics. The text emphasizes the contribution of Liberation Theology and of contextual theologies to the study of social issues. The basis ethics today must be sought in the relation with the other, especially on the reverence of the transcendental Other. Before a radical secularism that reduces itself inside the limits of a purely scientific rationality, the theologian has an important role understanding the fundamental bets, being himself/herself, in the perspective of public Theology, the mediator of thebioethical debate.
