| Sumario: | The system of organization of life generated by capitalist modernity is an ouroboros, a snake that bites its tail in an inevitably suicidal gesture. Its signs are extreme looting and the destruction of life and its political form is authoritarianism. This article proposes to present the geographical extractivism as another level of extractivism of the Earth's goods, which aims to redesign the planet by opening ways and channels at the expense of environmental, cultural, historical and social damage and generating reactions from nature that are shaping the current civilizational catastrophe. The decline of modern capitalist civilization gives way to civilizational emergencies with different, sometimes promising ways of life, but the devastating force of its fall threatens to destroy living conditions as a whole. |
