| Resumo: | The dissertation Institutionalization of UERN from imagery sources and memory record explains the creation of the first university in the city of Mossoró, which was constituted and consolidated as a free public university. To meet the purpose of the research, we chose as sources the documentary collections existing at UERN (official written documents and photographs) and a semi-structured interview. This is a qualitative, bibliographical and documentar kind of research. In view of this, the aim of this research was to surround itself with the UERN, gravitate towards its historicity, investigate the vestiges of its institutionalization through imagery and memory records. The results showed us that it was possible to outline the institutionalization of UERN through imagery sources and memory records. The images spoke, communicated and described, and the orality proved to be a rich source of research, providing opportunities for the remembrance and perpetuation of what was lived, configuring together a story of this institutionalization process |
