Description
Summary:This study analyzes the coverage of two podcasts during the Qatar World Cup in 2022. This work is justified by the growth of the “podcast” format and its consumption, the presence of sports podcasts in the market and the importance of the FIFA World Cup. Mundo as an event in Brazil and in the world. Three episodes of the podcasts “Futebol no Mundo” and “Posse de Bola”, between November 20 and 22, 2022, are analyzed. Using bibliographical research, content analysis and semi-structured interview, the work aims to demonstrate editorial divergences of the two programs in the face of the same events conveyed through the exposition, comparison and interpretation of the subjects discussed in each episode. It is concluded that the podcasts “Posse de Bola” and “Futebol no Mundo” carried out two different coverages, even in the face of the same facts, evidencing the different editorial lines in the journalistic environment.
