description This study has the intention to research the Arturos, a community located in the district of Contagem, MG that keeps the traditions of black Brazilians alive. The objective of this study is to understand the celebration of its members during the Festa do Reinado de Nossa Senhora do Rosario(Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary Festival), the relationships that are established in the process of engaging these individuals in the preparation and involvement alongside this festival, and its implications on becoming an Arturo. The communitys daily life reveals a rich socialuniverse that can be explored from the theoretical approach based on thesituated learning proposed by Jean Lave and Etiene Wenger (1991), and on the ecological approach of the cultural experience proposed by Tim Ingold (2000). An ethnographic study was conducted seeking to delve into the festive practices of the Arturos in order to focus on the festivals nuances and experience it intensely. Theinformation gathering methods used in this study were the field notebook, informal andsemi-structured interviews, and a rich experience with a photography workshop. From the community history and daily revived practices, it was possible to dive into the Arturoscelebration of the Festa de Nossa Senhora do Rosario,revealing their practices, their learning and identities. Becoming an Arturo revealed itself as a constituent of the learning practice process, systematically influenced by daily actions in whichto do/to learn involves power relationships, agreements, negotiations, and conflicts inherent to social life. The act of becoming an Arturoinvolves this festive, communal, identity, and daily involvement.

Tem como objetivo compreender o festejar dos integrantes da Comunidade dos Arturos durante a Festa do Reinado de Nossa Senhora do Rosário, nas relações que se estabelecem no processo de engajamento destes sujeitos na preparação e vivência desta festa e suas implicações no tornar-se um Arturo. O cotidiano da comunidade mostrou-se um universo social riquíssimoque pode ser explorado a partir do enfoque teórico baseado na aprendizagem situada,proposto por Jean Lave e Etiene Wenger (1991) e na abordagem ecológica da experiência cultural proposta por Tim Ingold (2000). Foi realizado um estudo etnográfico,buscando mergulhar na prática festiva dos Arturos a fim de focar nas nuances do festejo e poder vivenciá-lo de forma intensa. Foi utilizado para isto o recurso do caderno de campo, de entrevistas informais e semi-estruturadas e de uma rica experiência com aoficina de fotografia. A partir da historia apropriada por seus atores e revelada nas praticas que são revividas cotidianamente foi possível mergulhar na Festa de Nossa Senhora do Rosário da Comunidade dos Arturos revelando suas praticas, suas aprendizagens e identidades. O tornar-se Arturo revelou-se como constituinte de uma aprendizagem na prática, influenciada sistematicamente por ações cotidianas nas quais fazer/aprender envolve relações de poder, acordos, negociações e conflitosinerentes a vida social.
