| Sumario: | The present work aims to know the influence that sexual repression has on sexual desires in people dedicated to ecclesiastical life. The methodology focused on the application of two psychometric tests, the sexual guilt inventory and the SDS scale; It was a non-probabilistic sample of 100 people dedicated to celibacy, with ages ranging from 27 years to 78 years maximum; In the results, it was found that in the male gender they have more affectations in terms of sexual repression than in the female gender, At the same time, it was found that 93% of the participants have high repressions, while 100% showed high sexual desires, finally and giving a positive correlation of .594, it is determined that the greater the repression, the greater the sexual desires there will be. Concluding that people dedicated to celibacy will suffer high repressions in an attempt to control sexual desires. |
