| Sumario: | Objective: to determine the relation between lifestyle and glycemic control in patients with Diabetes Mellitus in a Primary Care level Unit in Sonora, Mexico. Methods: observational, prospective, cross-sectional, descriptive and open study; in which the imevid questionnaire was applied to evaluate the lifestyle, and evidence of glycemic control with glycated hemoglobin in patients with Diabetes Mellitus, with at least one year of diagnosis, who were informed by prior consent. The analysis of the data was carried out by descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: it was included 196 patients, 128 women and 68 men; it was observed in 70.4% of the group glycemic control and there was lack of control 29.6%; in addition to a favorable lifestyle in 23.5%, less favorable in 67.9% and unfavorable in 8.7%. The result of the Pearson correlation was -0.196 (p<0.05). Conclusion: according to the results, the correlation between lifestyle and glycemic control is weak. |
