Santa Martha Acatitla, D. F., to which a survey of around 36 questions was applied to them, as well as we make use of an interview made to a key informant.El presente trabajo aborda la transformación de las pandillas juveniles en la Ciudad de México, específicamente sus formas de acción colectiva y la reconfiguración de sus identidades. Consta de dos partes: a) un recorrido histórico del fenómeno pandilleril en México y b) la transformación de este fenómeno por medio de la influencia del neoliberalismo, el cual ha incidido en el replanteamiento conceptual de la identidad pandillera; para nuestro análisis tomamos como muestra a dos pandillas de jóvenes pertenecientes a la Col. Santa Martha Acatitla, D.
