Sumario:Biosurfactants are amphipathic molecules produced by microorganisms. They present the same applications that chemical surfactants. Although, they are less toxic and harmful for environment. Lipopeptides (LP) are one of the most efficient biosurfactants (BS ). LP are produced mainly by bacillus species. However, they are not produced on a large scale because their production and purification is expensive and they present low productivity. Generally, BS are produced in submerged state fermentation with low pr oductivity because of foaming, production of exopolysaccharides and low transfer oxygen affect the process. Solid state fermentation solves these problems. For this, solid state fermentation was used to produce LP from the surfactin by B. subtilis in order to improve the production and productivity. Firstly, two culture media were compared, one to production of biomass (nutrient broth) and other to production of LP (media reported by Yeh et al . (2016)). Both culture media were used in different concentratio ns. Media reported by Yeh et al . (2016) three times concentrated was selected because it was the most production of LP. Then, the presence of MnSO 4 and nitrogen source (NH 4 NO 3 y NaNO 3 ) was evaluated in that media. The MnSO 4 with the NH 4 NO 3 in the media improved the production of LP. Later, the concentrations of the nutrients such as Mg 2+ , K + , Fe 2+ and Mn 2+ were evaluated in order to improve the production and the productivity of LP. The production did not improve but the productivity increased by 50%. A comparison was discovered ix between the results in this study and the reports in were documented in literature. This work showed better values than other reports about production of surfactin. Finally, an analysis of BS produced in this study by spectrometri c methods was created. BS was a lipopeptide of surfactin as expected.
