Sumario:The proposal of the present text is to make some considerations about a methodological philosophical topos recovered in the classic work of K.-O. Apel, The Transformation of Philosophy. I refer to the dialectic between hermeneutics and semiotics. This relationship refers to a relevant aspect of the epistemological status of Philosophy, in that it recovers the problematic distinction between explaining and understanding, and in that sense, it is important to review it in order to make some clarifications with respect to the limits and scope of Philosophy, given certain current tendencies of the order of scientist reductionism or unlimited relativism. I will consider this dialectic between semiotics and hermeneutics from a dialogical perspective, that looks at a complementary articulation between both recovering the contributions of Ricoeur’s phenomenological hermeneutics and Beuchot’s analogical hermeneutical perspective.
