Thus, two systems for the protection of human rights have been created, the universal system corresponding to the treaties of the United Nations (UN) and the regional systems, such as the European, the American and the African. Like several Latin American countries, Mexico is part of the United Nations. The Organization of American States (OAS) has also ratified several documents on human rights, among the most important of which are the Charter of the United Nations and the American Convention on Human Rights; with the latter, the State accepted its submission to the jurisdiction of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. It should be noted that a large part of the legal modifications introduced in the country is due to the influence of international law, so it has given special relevance to the treaties signed and ratified by Mexico and the recommendations issued by the bodies created for that purpose, so we are in a transition that could well be called the standardization of international or regional reference of human rights standards, as the case may be.Después de la segunda guerra mundial y las atrocidades del holocausto, los derechos humanos surgen como aquellas exigencias ético-jurídicas mínimas para que las personas puedan vivir con dignidad. Así, se han creado dos sistemas de protección de los derechos humanos, el sistema universal correspondiente a los tratados de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas (ONU) y los sistemas regionales, tales como el europeo, el americano y el africano. Como varios de los países latinoamericanos, México es parte de la Organización de Estados Americanos (OEA), asimismo, ha ratificado variados documentos en materia de derechos humanos, entre los más importantes se encuentran la Carta de las Naciones Unidas y la Convención Americana de Derechos Humanos; con esta ultima, el Estado acepto su sometimiento a la jurisdicción de la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos.
