Descripción
Sumario:This study makes some basic theoretical reflections using the Kuznets hypothesis which relates economic growth to changes in the population's income inequality, reviewing some of the contributions of other authors in this area and analyzing the performance of these variables in Latin America and Mexico via representative data in long-term series; it also concludes with a brief list of proposals related to redistributive mechanisms targeting the poorest part of the population.
