| Resumo: | In this paper, the set of laws inserted to community lands and the assets of the indigenous of New Spain in the tax treatment of the crown, by the composiciones de tierras and water performed between 1692 and 1720. The manner in which the composiciones were performed on Indian lands of Huayacocotla-Chicontepec and Yahualica, two colonial jurisdictions Huasteca are exposed. On the one hand, the intention of the article is to emphasize the importance it once had the measurement of six hundred varas per wind, surface was considered central part of the community lands of the towns. And secondly, show the responses of the repúblicas de naturales of this region to the taxation policy of the Spanish monarchy. |
