Descrição
Resumo:This research analyzes the health system from the point of view of the Health Service Provider Institutions (IPS) located in the city of Cali, Valle del Cauca, assuming as criteria the quality indicators of care established by the Colombian Ministry of Health. Using public information sources, the IPS and indicators were consulted and selected. These data were classified according to the group to which the enabled services belong and analyzed using the Python programming language and descriptive statistics tools. Among the results obtained are the identification of specialized services and the behavior of quality indicators in the IPS of the city. This research responds to the need to update the analysis of the indicators that were previously presented by the Ministry of Health through the National Report on Quality of Health Care, whose last issue was in 2017, as well as to carry out a study focused on the local level. Among the con-clusions, it was possible to corroborate the impact of hospital stay on the incidence of adverse events and identify opportunities for improvement that highlight the added value of the city.
