Sumario:In this reseaarch we discuss the importance of the mYth, from a social perspective, as supportive element to "revel" in life the impact caused by its loss in the understanding of reality; its way to integrate and separate different societies through the functions that it completes and the actors from wich it is observed. We account for the human features that manifests its sacred and profane character in the way of inhabiting the world, we investigate its disposition of habits and beliefs in the revelations that it offers and in the certainties that it promotes in the face of the primary fears of the world. We analyse the rational and irrational dimensions present in the myth for their call to the entirety, their communication Through the vehicle of narration, different causways thar nusture it, keys to allow to cme closer to thei understanding and functounality, factors of corruption, that is to say, motivations that look to adapt and implant it with the purpose of dominance. All these considerations referred to the particular "Lacandon" environment.
