Obtaining and characterization of ZnSe nanoparticles from aqueous colloidal dispersions

Structural, morphological and compositional characterizations of zinc selenide (ZnSe) nanoparticles (NPs) are presented. ZnSe NPs have been obtained by colloidal synthe sis in aqueous solution using zinc nitrate (Zn(NO 3 ) 2 ) and elemental selenium (Se) as precursors, sodium borohydride (NaBH 4 ) a...

The pH was varied from 8 to 11 and the Zn:Se molar concentration was varied from 3:1 to 1:3. A cleaning process was applied to eliminate the by-products using hydrochloric acid (HCl). ZnSe NPs exhi bit a cubic zinc-blende structure. The NPs size was estimated between 4.9 nm and 3.0 nm and depends on molar concentration.Sociedad Mexicana de Ciencia y Tecnología de Superficies y Materiales A.C.2014info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/articleapplication/pdf1665-3521https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=94231175003Superficies y vacío (México) Num.1 Vol.27reponame:Redalyc-UNAMinstname:Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Méxicoinstacron:UNAMenhttp://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=942Superficies y vacíoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessoai:redalyc.org:942311750032025-09-03T18:08:59Z
