| Sumario: | This paper presents partial results of a research on the practices and strategies that working women implement to solve the family feeding tasks in the city of Zacualtipán de Ángeles, in the state of Hidalgo. The information that served as the basis for the development of this paper was obtained from 53 surveys and 18 semi-structured interviews conducted with working mothers during the period March 2020 to December 2021. The assumption was made that feeding is part of the domestic and care activities that have been culturally assigned to women-mothers. The analysis of the cases reinforces the assumption that feeding practices respond to cultural and gender stereotypes, as well as the economic and social context. |
