Teaching linear algebra using the model of the inverted square is a process which is considered a great impact because it responds to the challenge of carrying out an integration of the learning process and political society, and simultaneously with the draft life and personal fulfillment. The academic model of the inverted square is a complete process which contains among its elements to the didactic sequence, which allows the process to start and end with scaffolding metacognition by students.En esta investigación se presenta una revisión desde el punto de vista teóricopráctico acerca de la enseñanza del álgebra lineal mediante el esquema por competencias profesionales en el aula, en el nivel superior. El objetivo mejorar la didáctica por parte del profesor y mejorar el autoconocimiento por parte del alumno. La enseñanza del álgebra lineal mediante el modelo de la escuadra invertida es un proceso el cual se considera de gran impacto debido a que éste responde al reto de llevar a cabo una integración del proceso formativo con la sociedad y políticas, y simultáneamente con el proyecto de vida y de autorrealización personal.
