Sumario:The Náayeri (Cora) language and Spanish have been in contact for centuries. A consequence of this contact has been the spread of bilingualism in the communities that receive the influence of the culture that reaches them. This contact has produced a strong influence on the Náayeri language. In general, the consequences of linguistic contact depend not only on structural factors of the language, but also to a large extent on extra-linguistic factors, such as the duration and intensity of cultural contact, the role and status of the participating languages, the degree of institutional support granted to languages at different stages of their history (for example the publication and dissemination of literature in the original language), and of the attitude of the native speakers toward their own language. These factors are analyzed in this article
