Therefore, using the method of systematic review and legislative analysis, we try to offer evidence on the way in which the institutionalization of gender parity has occurred in various spaces of the Mexican government. To do this, the document is organized into three sections. The first explores the literature on policy propagation and transfer. The second describes the trajectory of gender quotas in Mexico. The third examines the adoption of parity in the composition of Congress and other policy domains. Finally, the conclusions are presented.Este artículo intenta explorar la trayectoria de una innovación para lograr la igualdad de género en México. De manera específica, se analiza la forma en que la paridad, una vez discutible en la esfera política mexicana, se convirtió en una herramienta ampliamente utilizada para atender problemas de desigualdad de género. Así, utilizando el método de revisión sistemática y el análisis legislativo, se intenta ofrecer evidencia sobre la forma en que ha ocurrido la institucionalización de la paridad de género en diversos espacios del gobierno mexicano. Para ello, el documento se organiza en tres bloques. El primero explora la literatura sobre propagación y transferencia de políticas. El segundo describe la trayectoria de las cuotas de género en México. El tercero examina la adopción de la paridad en la integración del Congreso y otros dominios de política.
