| Sumario: | This article attempts to explore the trajectory of an innovation to achieve gender equality in Mexico. Specifically, it analyzes the way in which parity, once debatable in the Mexican political sphere, became a widely used tool to address problems of gender inequality. Therefore, using the method of systematic review and legislative analysis, we try to offer evidence on the way in which the institutionalization of gender parity has occurred in various spaces of the Mexican government. To do this, the document is organized into three sections. The first explores the literature on policy propagation and transfer. The second describes the trajectory of gender quotas in Mexico. The third examines the adoption of parity in the composition of Congress and other policy domains. Finally, the conclusions are presented. |
