Sumario:Program Prevention of Overweight and Obesity in School of Hidalgo, integrated prevention of overweight and obesity in the curriculum of basic education, to improve the consumption of healthy food and physical activity in school. Objective To evaluate the association of learning expected in healthy eating and physical activity with anthropometric indicators of obesity in urban school in the state of Hidalgo. Hypothesis School operated for training projects meet PESOEH model significantly greater percentage of learning expected in healthy eating (AS) and physical activity (PA) compared with the control group. Methodology Educational intervention was performed using the methodology of training projects (PF) with control groups in school children in first through third grade 2 public elementary and private Tepeji the Tula-Hidalgo region in the 2012-2013 school year. After the intervention expected learning AS and AF were assessed, and anthropometric indicators of obesity were measured. Results School overweight or obesity surgery more likely to achieve expected learning AS and AF than those of normal weight (p <0.01). Interventions in nutrition education in the curriculum, require more time to influence the formation of healthy habits and improve nutritional status in schoolchildren.
