| Resumo: | The history of Zacatecas (Mexico) is related to the interest of forming a mining city for the needs of the Spanish Crown in the sixteenth century. In this way, research was sought to characterize the social processes (foundation, roots and survival), cultural (food preference), economic (demand and supply) and environmental (adaptation of resources and environment) that contributed to the development and permanence of the practice in the city of Zacatecas, from the settlement to the present. For this, a multidisciplinary perspective was used by consulting documentary sources including maps, analysis of material culture associated with everyday spaces through prospecting, and oral history, from which we sought to build a common idea of the identity from the presence of orchards. |
