| Sumario: | The EPA 524.2 method using purge and trap capillary gas chromatography, electron ionization and flame ionization detec- tion was used to determine volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) in water samples from wells and springs in Central Mexico. The sampling technique was improved to assess the presence of VOC’s in the samples. The preliminary results obtained in 7 sites from the State of Mexico, confirmed the presence of VOC ́s from pesticides used in the zone. |
