Sumario:Many young people are having dificulties to start their profesional career in Spain due to the current economical crisis, and decide to move abroad, others just consider the economic crisis an opportunity to go abroad and have an international experience. London is one of the prefered destinations because of different reasons: it provides a good opportunity to learn English, the country has ample job opportunities and it is close to Spain. This paper approaches the state of youth in Spain in terms of employment and the migration process adopted by many Spaniards since 2008, focusing specifically in the UK as destination. This paper aims to give voice to the 30 young Catalan people interviewed, showing their migration and labour strategies in London.
