This focus requires indicators that include the costs of utilizing environmental assets. A relevant contribution to registering these costs is due to the systems of measurement, in particular to the national accounts. This article deals with a central aspect of the same -the advances obtained and challenges that the accounting treatment must tackle at the highest aggregate level. Part of the study considers the experience of Mexico and data published by the INEGI in this area.

Este enfoque requiere indicadores que consideren los costos por la utilización de los activos ambientales. Una contribución relevante al registro estos costos corresponde a los sistemas de medición, en particular a las cuentas nacionales. Este trabajo exponen los avances obtenidos y los retos que debe enfrentar el tratamiento contable en su nivel más agregado. Una parte del trabajo se dedica a exponer la experiencia de México en el tema y las cifras publicadas por el INEGI.Il est indispensable de considérer la dimension environnementale dans le processus à travers lequel transite la société -caractérisé par des niveaux inégaux de développement aussi bien entre les régions et les pays, qu'à l'intérieur de ceux-ci- pour ébaucher un paradigme de développement durable. Ce point de vue requiert d'indicateurs qui prennent en considération les coûts de l'utilisation d'actifs environnementaux. Une contribution importante au registre desdits coûts est due aux systèmes de mesure, en particulier aux comptes nationaux. Cet article expose, comme aspect central, les progrès obtenus et les défis auxquels doit faire face le traitement comptable dans son niveau le plus ajouté.
