Sumario:The large work of Carlos Montemayor has been the subject of analysis, reflections and discussions in the different environments and areas in which the author participated. His work in the humanities and arts has been recognized for the diversity of topics covered in his various works, wich have with extensive and concrete references to the time of the Greek classics. The career of Carlos Montemayor allows him to be an important reference for writers and researchers. In this essay, I analyze particularly the metaphorical figure of Virgil through the translation that Montemayor himself makes of the Eclogue IV, as well as the poems contained in his posthumous work: Notes from exile, where our author builds, from the characteristics recognized in the classic writers and in the same Virgil, a collection of depth and sagacity for the most gifted reader and also for the less experienced.
