Descripción
Sumario:This study explores women’s participation in municipal electoral processes. Through narratives collected in the field, we seek to account for the plurality and inequality in holding public offices in Acambay’s municipality, the State of Mexico. We present three cases of biographical accounts obtained through interviews, focusing on women’s political participation in political parties. This study aims to demonstrate that beyond gender differences, ethnic, economic, and social factors influence female participation in these processes.
