Descripción
Sumario:The surface and leaf margin of ten species of the genus Alchornea Sw. (Euphorbiaceae) from Central America were studied using scanning electron microscopy and photonic microscopy. Epicuticular waxes, paracytic stomata and the types of trichomes observed on the leaf are described. This paper concludes on the usefulness of these characters in distinguishing among species of Alchornea.
