Resumo:Political parties in Mexico had been conducting their activities in opacity. Their legal nature in the light of the constitutional dispositions applicable to them are connected to their function pursuant to the structuration of the representative organs. Accountability in relation to these political organizations is of a paramount relevance since they have important functions to fulfill in connection with the citizenry and not only regarding their public and private financing. Even though there have been advances in terms of legislation, political parties still have to make greater efforts of transparency in order to public their information and amount to their legitimacy in a context in which they do not enjoy the best of reputations.
