Descripción
Sumario:
This article reflects about transparency, accountability and administrative responsibility of public servants in Tamaulipas, relevant issues to assess the functioning of democracy in the state. For this, the resolutions and arbitral awards of the Superior Audit of the State of Tamaulipas were analyzed and processed with the software system Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). In this analysis, the main results were that 1) In terms of transparency, ASE Tamaulipas does not present updated nor detailed information, which is a contravention of the principles established by law, 2) The Municipal Presidents are the most sanctioned authorities, generally with a fine, for the lack of accountability in a timely manner and 3) Most municipalities, in different fiscal exercises, have presented irregularities, which shows a generalized problem of administrative responsibility in Tamaulipas.
