Descripción
Sumario:The aim of this paper is to present a systematic analysis of the surface melodies of the yes/ no interrogative sentences used by Basque-Spanish bilingual speakers. In this paper; these facts are presented in some detail and are analyzed within the autosegmental-metrical framework. We propose three pitch accents (L*+H; H* and L*) and two boundary tones (H% and L%) to explain these melody. We have also analyzed the differences found in use; according to the mother tongue of the speakers. Finally; comparing the melodies produced in Basque; we will attempt to show the reciprocal influence between Basque and Spanish.
