In the following pages, we address a particular case study on the history of the configuration of the territory in the east-southeast environment of Tlaxiaco, in the central Mixteca Alta. To do this, we start from the historical problem of the municipalization process in Oaxaca, which will allow us to ask ourselves some questions that will be analyzed in light of the study of the past, especially the stage of land composition that occurred in the eighteenth century, a particular time of emergency of actors and deployment of strategiesEl territorio, en tanto que se finca sobre el espacio geográfico,ha sido con frecuencia más asociado al estatismo que al dinamismo. Sin embargo, consideramos que un análisis acerca de su construcción histórica en la larga duración puede revelarnos movilidades, a veces sutiles, que se desarrollan en un escenario de aparente inmovilidad. En las páginas que siguen abordamosun estudio de caso particular sobre la historia de la configuración del territorio enel entorno este-sureste deTlaxiaco, enla Mixteca Alta central.
