Sumario:This article aims to bring the reader closer to the phenomenon of political violence against women in reason of gender, that is one of the most relevant problems in the current mexican electoral system, through its exercise the exercise of women’s political rights is undermined which hinders the democratic processes of our country. The response that the authorities have given to these manifestations of violence has not been enough to contain it, since it is increasingly visible in the physical and virtual spaces, being present inside and outside the electoral process. That is why is necessary to study this phenomenon from its doctrinal conception, through the normative advances that seek to solve it, to the perceptions of the main operators of the electoral system around the attention given to the victims from the institutions, this with the purpose of identifying the red-hot spots where efforts should be directed to address, contain and eradicate this type of violence.
