Sumario:Accelerated advances in information technologies combined with industrialization methods have stimulated progress in the development of new generations of manufacturing technologies that are currently experiencing the rise of the fourth industrial revolution. Industry 4.0 demands the application of emerging technologies that originate from different disciplines including physical-cybernetic systems, the internet of things, cloud computing, industrial integration, service-oriented architectures, business process management, industrial information integration, among others. The lack of tools remains an obstacle to exploit the great potential of Industry 4.0, which presents great challenges for companies where it is required to implement formal methods and systems to enter Industry 4.0. In this research we focus on the challenges for the integration of the Internet of Things as an opportunity for sustainable manufacturing in Industry 4.0 and thereby generate new qualitative services which represent an evolution of the internet.
