Descripción
Sumario:This article offers a partial report of the results of a research whose purpose is to show how particular reading practices are made up in subjects who read in different contexts, in this case in the university classroom and at workplace. The data of the first context come from undergraduate students of Laws and Geography at public universities, whereas the data about reading at workplace proceed from employees of public institutions who perform professional practices in the referred disciplines. Two were the instruments to gather the information: observation and thematic interview. The results suggest that context has a significant influence on the reading practice, in this case the institution where the subjects study or work establish action habits and, consequently, reading habits, and also a relative homogeneity of the kind of texts that use to be read.
